Texila American University organised a CME Workshop on Objective Structured Clinical Examination (OSCE) for the benefit of our Royal College (UK) Exam Training Program Students. The workshop was approved by Karnataka Medical Council viz. letter KMC/CME/053/2016. Two Credit points of Accreditation were given to the students.
The CME Seminar was held in Sagar Hospital, Bangalore on 25th January 2016. A total of 75 student delegates participated in this event.
- Madan Gaekwad, Sr. Executive Vice President, Sagar Hospitals, inaugurated the workshop.
Dr. A. Anand, Director & Executive Dean, Texila American University delivered the Key Note Address.
Dr.Ranjan Venkatesan M.B.B.S, M.D, MRCOG (Eng), FRCOG (Eng) delivered his presentation on “Introduction to OSCE”.
The acronym “OSCE” stands for “Objective Structured Clinical Examination”. The “objective” bit comes from the fact that everyone has the same exam and same degree of complexity when dealing with real clinical cases.
Following the intro of OSCE, Presentation on various specialities were also explained:

|OSCE for MRCPCH||: Dr.Santhosh Olety, M.B.B.S, D.C.H, MRCPCH CCST (UK)|
After the Lunch break, the participants were divided into groups as per their specialities. About two hours Clinical training was given, including mock OSCEs. All the delegates participated in the program with lot of enthusiasm.
Mr.Ravi Nagarajan welcomed the gathering & Dr. Chethana, Medical Director, Sagar Hospitals proposed a Vote of Thanks.
Certificates jointly signed by Dr. Anand – on behalf of TAU, Dr. Prabhakar – on behalf of Karnataka Medical Council & Dr. Chethana – on behalf of Sagar Hospitals were presented to the Participants.
The CME ended with a National Anthem.
