World Health Organization (WHO) has termed family doctors as rising stars of the future. Family medicine has been recognized as a key component for achieving Universal Health Coverage as part of the Sustainable Development Goals. Texila American University’s (TAU) Master of Medical Science (MMSc) degree in Family Medicine aims to build on this idea of establishing primary medical care by competent family physicians.
The MMSc degree in Family Medicine is awarded by Texila American University in partnership with University of Central Nicaragua (UCN).
TAU has students from more than 70+ countries, each bringing their unique experiences to create a vibrant global learning community. Hear our student, Dr. Prince Issac, as he speaks about his experience at TAU during his MMSc degree in Family Medicine.
The MMSc program is designed to offer students essential medical knowledge and management skills within the context of family medicine. The program enables students to become expert family physicians with coordinated, comprehensive and cost-effective care with an understanding of the patient in the context of the family and community.
