World-Teachers-Day

There is a famous proverb that says:

“Teaching is a profession that creates all other Professions”

World-Teachers-Day

World Teachers’ Day held annually on 5 October, is an initiative by UNESCO, a day devoted to appreciating, assessing, and improving the educators of the world. The real point is to provide a time to look at and address issues pertaining to teachers.

Teachers’ Day aims to raise awareness of the importance of the role played by teachers all over the world. The responsibility for educating future generations is not a light one by any means, so show your support for these dedicated and important people not just on Teachers’ Day, but throughout the whole year.

Teachers are producing global citizens, so they are global teachers, who need to situate their advances on a global level. WTD is an opportunity to rethink national issues faced by teachers from an international perspective, to benchmark progress made by national teachers in a global context. UNESCO provides the best global context to address and exchange ideas across borders.

According to Education International, over 100 countries observe World Teachers’ Day and there are 401 member organisations who have contributed to this event.

Texila American University takes this opportunity to thank all the people who are part of this noble profession and who are the cause of producing good citizens to the country. We are also happy and proud of the students who are teachers in and around the world.
